Later today, I’ll be adding a post about the Campbell/Stone movement that was the foundation for my church denomination. This post is in addition to the regular schedule and I expect this to be the case on a regular basis.
One of the new categories I’m working on adding is called “Health Matters.” I expect it to mostly deal with senior health issues. Today, as I was checking out my MNINB writing group, I found a Tweet by Joy Weese Moll about a group she is starting over at Joy’s Book Blog. I’ve registered for her exercise group and will be tracking and posting about it here fairly regularly. I hope it will encourage me to stay with the program this time. Usually I start off the year with determination and drop out when summer heat interferes. This year I want to find ways to keep with a workout routine all year long.
Go April! I think if you keep at it for longer than 3 weeks it becomes a habit.
Thank you very much for stopping by my blog and commenting on my poetry. And thank you for the Liebster! You are very kind.
I’m also recently joined Joy’s Readers’ Workouts as well… it’s a good way to talk about exercise pursuits and guilt trip myself into doing more!
It’s been so hot here at 25C but I’ve still been running in it, possibly due to madness. I think if it ever got over 30C (or in fact anything over 26C) I would probably have to give it a break. I feel dreadful in this heat without moving around!
Yay! Glad to have you with us.
I do better in the heat than I used to because my garden requires me to be out in it. Once I’m acclimated, I’m willing to walk, too. I also do a lot of workouts indoors — using exercise DVDs and a treadmill in the basement.
Hi April,
Welcome to the Reader’s Workout group. I only started linking up with Joy and the others recently myself. I hope the weekly check in helps keep you inspired and motivated to exercise regularly.
I know exactly how you feel about exercising when the summer heat dial goes up. I don’t like exercising in the heat and humidity either! What about swimming? 15 minutes of laps does wonders! I also suggest getting up and out at the crack of dawn for a walk, jog or bike ride. The sun isn’t high yet so it’s not as brutal and sometimes actually pleasant.
All the best! :)
